Azamara Celebrates 10 Years of Destination Immersion
Azamara, is a boutique cruise line which caters to travelers who want to immerse themselves into the local culture, discover hidden gems, taste the local food and meet the local people. The cruise line specifically plans its itineraries to give their guests more time in port; and also offers late evening, overnight and even multi-day stays in a variety of ports. Destination Immersion experiences is the foundation of Azamara.
Azamara will celebrate its 10 year anniversary of their Destination Immersion program with a special event on October 8, 2020, for one night only, by bringing all three Azamara ships (Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, and Azamara Pursuit) together in port for the first time ever in Koper, Slovenia for an extraordinary Grand AzAmazing Evening.
“The three sisters will come together for the first time in Azamara history to celebrate. We couldn’t think of a better way to show Azamara’s commitment to having guests fully explore different locales through immersive land experiences than with a grand AzAmazing evening,” said Larry Pimentel, President and CEO.
Ukmar Square will be transformed into an enchanting private venue. Guests from all three ships can indulge in the regional cuisine, a special wine formally blended for this event by Azamara President & CEO, Larry Pimentel, and enjoy live music starring Perpetuum Jazzile, an a cappella ensemble dedicated to preserving Slovenian vocal traditions.
To celebrate the brand’s promise to further immerse travelers into the heart of the destination as well as its loyalty to past guests, Azamara’s Le Club Voyage (LCV) members will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase an AzAmazing Journey only available for these specific ten-year anniversary sailings. The three-night Milan and Lake Como post-voyage journey will take guests beyond Venice and provide an Italian-immersive tour of Milan and Lake Como, which includes three nights in Bellagio. This AzAmazing Journey includes exclusive activities that are only offered on these ten-year anniversary sailings.
The cruise lines commitment to creating immersive experiences for their guests reflects in their 2020 itineraries. Azamara will travel to 41 maiden ports including South Africa and the African Continent for the first time, taking travelers to the heart of Zulu culture, South Africa’s most famous wine region, and beyond. In addition to adding new destinations and immersive land experiences to its offerings, Azamara’s 2020 itineraries will feature an assortment of specialty voyages.
And as part of Azamara’s commitment to destination immersion, there is a total of 92 voyages across the three luxury ships, 303 late night stays, 170 overnight stays and 40 country-intensive voyages.
Azamara shows no signs of slowing down, they are the leaders in immersive travel experiences—and the journey has only just begun. So, let’s celebrate a decade of exploring the world as only Azamara does.
